Long Beach serves as FlightSafety International's West Coast center of excellence for Gulfstream aircraft training, strategically positioned to serve the Pacific Rim business aviation market. This facility specializes exclusively in large-cabin business jet simulator training programs.
The Long Beach center operates sophisticated simulators for two of Gulfstream's most advanced aircraft families. The G500/G600 simulators provide comprehensive training for these next-generation large-cabin aircraft, featuring advanced avionics systems and fly-by-wire technology. The G650 simulator serves operators of Gulfstream's flagship ultra-long-range aircraft, known for its exceptional performance and global reach capabilities. Both programs include intensive ground school covering aircraft systems, performance planning, and advanced avionics operation, followed by comprehensive simulator training addressing all flight phases and emergency scenarios.
Long Beach Airport (LGB) offers convenient access with its focus on business aviation and limited commercial traffic, reducing congestion and delays. The airport's proximity to Los Angeles provides connectivity to Asia-Pacific markets while maintaining a more manageable operating environment than LAX. Local accommodations cater to business travelers with several upscale hotels offering corporate training packages. The Southern California location attracts operators from across the Pacific region, including Asia, Australia, and the western United States, making it a natural hub for international Gulfstream training activities.
